As outlined under Parking Lot Reinvention, there is an opportunity to increase the greenspace size and access to the riverfront and merchant-adjacent outdoor spaces.
Merchant Sidewalks
Extend the size, aesthetics and amenities of merchant sidewalks to enable more outdoor enjoyment and usage, including outdoor dining and other activity. This may include additional trees and streetscape elements (consumer trash, benches) as well other amenities (wayfinding, cell phone charging, etc.).
Boardwalk Construction
Consider the construction of the boardwalk or other widened and enhanced passageway on the riverfront, which may include the elements from above, plus enhancement to planting, public art, and other elements.
Pedestrian Bridge Construction
Consider the construction of the pedestrian bridge across the river to connect the residential and commercial sides and provide even more pedestrian enjoyment access.
