One of the largest Town lots, this lot is a key location opportunity for overflow and merchant parking for the Downtown district.  Currently, the lot is in disrepair, and lacks proper lighting and other modern amenities.  There is an opportunity to make this lot up to date and more attractive to Downtown parkers, to ease the parking capacity burden throughout the rest of the district.

Additionally, there is an opportunity to add configuration to support a long-term user, the Westport Farmers Market, as well as more recent itinerant use by the Remarkable Theater for drive-in movie use.  Both of these entities are key assets of Westport and the Downtown district, and enhancement will further attract visitors to the district and promote vitality.  This can likely be done without significantly impacting parking capacity.
